Flames Engulf the Night

I am nervous,
Waiting,
Restless,
Imagining you.
You walk in the room,
Catch my eye.
Suddenly,
I am captured,
Obedient,
Responding,
Intrigued by your light.
My whole body is charged,
Electric,
Quickened by
Bare

Tonight I saw my shoulders,
For the first time,
Through your eyes,
Bare and beautiful,
Bathed in soft light.
I saw my hair cascading down my back,
In soft waves,
Beckoning,
Calling for
Salt Water

The salty water of the ocean envelopes my feet,
Daring me to chase her.
I begin to run.
Arms waving,
Inhibitions left behind.
I am filled with delight.
For one perfect instant,
I forget
Azure Blossoms

When you came to me, you were like a bud,
like the flower of early spring,
closed tightly,
safe-guarding your treasure
from the frost of the still chilly dawn.
But the rains have
Tears in the Absence of Rain

I desired a rose,
needed beauty.
Exquisite blossom teased me in darkness,
disappearing in full light.
Sweet smelling flower poisoned me in delight.
Bewildered I ran.
I in unconscious mind denounced pain,
left
